The project was aimed at developing methods for the quantitative treatment and testing of rotational degrees of freedom in order to address the critical issues which today prohibit the consistent use of RDOF information in test-based and hybrid (mixed experimental-numerical) structural dynamics modelling. The main tasks of the project were:

The main aim of the project was to model the various components of a high-pressure compressor using commercial FE packages and the verification of the results via modal tests.
Responsibilities included the modal test and analysis of several components, their FE modelling and validation. A whole-assembly model was also developed. Also, an investigation on degree of non-linear behaviour was conducted for several force levels.
