Research projects are highly multidisciplinary but mainly revolve around the development of materials for therapeutic application and regenerative medicine: design of novel bioactive scaffolds and new approaches towards tissue regeneration, therapeutic nanoparticles for disease diagnostic and treatments, advanced drug delivery systems and the study of cell-material interactions. This will include material synthesis (inorganic and organic) and advanced materials characterization.
