The geomechanical characteristics of block in matrix rocks (Bimrock) are investigated based on large scale
laboratory tests carried out on the fabricated physical samples. The effects of block to matrix strength ratio on
the strength of Bimrock are considered applying 3D numerical simulation (PFC).
