Rangeland Inventory and analysis (BSc)

The aim of the course is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, techniques, and methodologies used in assessing and managing rangeland ecosystems. It covers techniques for ongoing monitoring and assessment of rangeland conditions to track changes over time and adapt management practices accordingly. Students will learn various inventory techniques used to assess rangeland resources, including vegetation mapping, sampling methods, and the collection of vegetation characteristics such as frequency, density, cover, forage production, and species composition. Additionally, the course aims to teach students how to analyze inventory data to evaluate grazing capacity and rangeland trend and condition.
