Prof. Abbas Pakdel, Full Professor of Animal Breeding and Genetics at Isfahan University of Technology, is a leading scientist with over 30 years of academic experience and 110+ scientific publications. His research integrates four core pillars: Quantitative Genetics and Genomic Evaluation, Systems Biology and Bioinformatics, Artificial Intelligence in Precision Livestock Farming, and Advanced Precision Phenotyping.

His most recent pioneering achievement is introducing Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) and Aquaphotomics as rapid, non-invasive diagnostic platforms for Johne's disease in dairy cattle, using milk, blood plasma, and saliva. He has also developed machine-learning models for predicting displaced abomasum and metabolic disorders in dairy cattle.

In the field of genomics, he has contributed to genomic evaluation methodologies for economically important traits including fertility, longevity, feed efficiency, and disease resistance. By applying transcriptomics and gene regulatory network analysis, he has identified key molecular regulators involved in mastitis and other infectious diseases. He has also conducted pioneering studies on the genetic architecture of ascites syndrome in broilers.
