On exponentially bounded positive-definite functions on hypergroups

Abstract: W. R. Bloom and P. Ressel proved a version of Bochner s theorem for
exponentially bounded positive-definite functions on second countable commutative
hypergroups. Here, we show that this result is valid for all commutative hypergroups.
