Ergodic characterizations of character amenability and contractibility of Banach

Abstract:
For a nonzero character φ on a Banach algebra A, we investigate some
relations between φ-amenability of A and ergodic theory. As the main result,
we give a characterization for φ-amenability of A in terms of antirepresentations
of A on a Banach space.
