  • Supervised field and survey researches, resulting in 36 MSc dissertations
  • Chaired the graduate Department of Rural Development, recruited two new faculty members 2007-2010
  • Directed the Extension Liaison Office, resulting in several continuing trainings, outreach educational visits, and seminars , as well as promoting interactive communication among different stakeholders
  • Chaired the Post-graduate Department, College of Natural Resources & Environ. Sciences   1995-2001
  • Co-advisor of two PhD theses (Shiraz University & Allama Tabatabaei University)       2007-2010

  • Created research project actions timeline on Excel to anticipate, plan, and accomplish weekly goals
  • Conducted extensive literature review on sustainability and environmental ethics
  • Studied cases of rural Planning and sustainable development in Canada
  • Facilitated participatory workshop and introduced Forum Theater
  • Presented seminar on: Paradigm shift in ethics and the dilemma of participation in sustainable rural development process

 

Visiting Scholar       June 2010

Education Department, Simon Fraser University, Canada

  • Extracted concept of practical research through improvised drama
  • Adapted Forum Theater into a participatory Co-learning/Co-researching Tool
  • Developed a Forum Theater Workshop proposal with professor David Kauffman
  • Developed the concept of Forum Theater through E-learning and the Virtual World

 

Membership in the Steering Committee         2001-2011

SGP/GEF – United Nation Development Program (UNDP), Iran

  • Participated in and chaired some monthly meetings in the National Steering Committee
  • Reviewed 74 proposals based on environmental sustainability, alternative livelihood & local participation
  • Monitored projects with the field’s monitoring team across the country
  • Established a multi stakeholders’ network of the environmentalists
  • Disseminated information and shared the knowledge with various audiences
  • Received Certificate of Appreciation from UNDP in 2009

  • Participated and collaborated with Dr. Richard Bawden in PhD course, Sustainable Development
  • Participated in outreach programs and projects: community-initiated organic farming
  • Participated in the weekly seminars at Land Policy Institute.

  • Intensive experience through with Kellogg Foundation’s Community-based Organic Farming project
  • Intensive experience through with the NGO Michigan Clean Water Action through door-to-door environmental awareness raising and fund raising initiative
