Among those issues that have concerned countries around the world, environment-related issues are the most prominent. Using biomass polymers as green substitutes for environmental remediation is one of the best solutions. Despite the advantages of bioremediation methods by biomass-derived green polymers, it is necessary to pass the local and national regulatory frameworks to the applications of biomass for environmental remediation. To utilize bioremediation safely in the framework of established laws, it is needed to clear cooperation between governments and private sectors. This chapter has been addressed the challenges and limitations of existing regulations, as well as the history of environmental regulations in this context.
