David Walter

Dr David Walter was my first PhD student, recruited via the Young Investigator Group project. For his academic degree, he was enrolled at University of Hamburg with Prof. Elisabetta Gallo. His thesis entitled

"First differential measurements of tZq production and luminosity determination using Z boson rates at the LHC"

was one of the winners of the CMS best thesis award in 2022. In the same year, it was published as an outstanding research in the Springer thesis series.

David joined CERN as a research fellow where he contributed to the W boson mass measurement. He is now at MIT, leading also technical projects.
